At 1:47 a.m. EST on Nov. 16, NASA launched its first mission of the Artemis program, America’s return to the moon. The launch, which lit up the night sky, consisted of the world’s most powerful rocket carrying the new Orion spacecraft into orbit before its unmanned trip to orbit the moon. “I’m telling you we’d never seen such a tail of flame,” said NASA Administrator Bill Nelson.
