Colombia's Narco Wars Just Got Deadlier

The rainforest border between Colombia and Venezuela is one of the busiest hotspots for drug trafficking in the world - and the most secretive. Under the canopies, a war is raging to control the cocaine corridors to Venezuela, fought between a mushrooming number of drug cartels, right-wing militias, and left-wing guerrilla groups.

The Indigenous community is getting caught in the crossfire and forced into a bloody drug trade as farmers of lucrative crops like coca. Colombia is now one of the most dangerous places in the world to be an Indigenous Land defender.

Vice World News journeys through the jungles to reveal the brutal realities of this hidden war.
