The Martini! A true classic that changed more in name and build than maybe any other in history. In this video, I’ll show you how to make 4 different styles of Martini: from a bare-bones, 1904 classic to a modern interpretation with modern gin. I hope you enjoy! Full recipes and descriptions below.

“Crisp Cocktail” (Applegreen’s Bar Book, 1904)
3-4 dashes Orange Bitters
1.5 oz Dolin Dry Vermouth
1.5 oz Plymouth Gin
“Classic 1950’s Martini”
3-4 dashes Orange Bitters
.5 oz Dolin Dry Vermouth
3 oz Plymouth Gin
For both: Stir in a mixing glass over ice until chilled. Strain into Martini or Nick and Nora glass. Express lemon oil over cocktail and serve with a single cocktail olive.
“New American Martini”
.5 oz Rockwell Extra Dry Vermouth
3 oz The Block “Spring” Gin
“Botanical Gin”
.5 oz Dolin Blanc Vermouth
3 oz Uncle Val’s Botanical Gin
Stir in a mixing glass over ice until chilled. Strain into Martini or Nick and Nora glass. Express lemon oil over cocktail and serve with a single cocktail olive with the New American style. No olive with the Botanical.
